Hello Folks! Scott here with the NEW Love From Lizi August 2021 Card Kit. “Bold And Beautiful” is the theme this month, and we are treated to a deluge of bold colors, patterns, and all sorts of goodness!
Circles seems to be a running theme here, with some watercolors and a little multi-media thrown in for good measure.
Though we usually get 5 sheets of colored card stock (8.5″ x11″) in our LFL kits, this month we get five sheets of Lizi’s super-smooth alcohol-friendly card stock. Chances are I will file these away to save for alcohol marker coloring, and substitute some plain White card stock from my stash. We have these three (7 7/8″ x 5 3/4″) sheets of a lovely watercolor pattern that I’m calling our Specialty Card stock for this kit. There’s a bit of a light finish on these cards as well!
Though this kit arrives in a normal A4 box/envelope, we do get a couple of 12″ x 12″ cut apart sheets with this kit!
Our first cut-apart has a collection of long (perfect for scrapbooking) patterned strips, an assortment of tags, there’s even a ruler there with a bunch of tickets, sentiments and feathers. The back of that sheet (cut between the strips and the tags) is this fun purple-y (is that Mauve??) flower pattern – great color!!
The second cut-apart sheet features these 3′ x 4″ panels (cut right down the center) with some fun sentiments, there are butterflies, journaling cards, and a patterned hand. The back of this sheet is a more muted double-grid pattern in a soft blue and green palette.
And we get a 12″ x 12″ sheet of stickers too! All sorts of sentiments from big to small, along with a few flowers and labels, medallions and hearts. These stickers are made from some nice, thick, sturdy card stock as well.
Of course we get some pattern paper too! 12 sheets of double-sided 6″x8″ pattern paper with fairly bold patterns on the front (left) and more subtle patterning on their backs. Two sheets sport 3″x4″ cut-apart as well – that’s 20 total panels!
Our kit peel offs are Black Mini Stars – perfect for mail-friendly embellishments! The Bold and Beautiful stamp set is basically a sentiment stamp set with a couple of wreaths and extra foliage – to add to, or create your own wreaths. And we get a new stencil this month featuring starbursts and patterned circles… we seem to have a motif starting here…!
I think we can see why this kit features so many circular items… we get a set of six Nesting Scallop-edged circle dies! That’s a great stash builder! Our embellishment bag includes five meter-long 1/8″ satin ribbons in Peach, White, Navy, Wine Red, and Golden Yellow, a sheet of thin circular foam dots, two Gold Mirror polaroid frames, six golden adhesive photo corners, 40 adhesive crystal stars and 60 Champagne crystals, our Bold and Beautiful Sequin mix sampler with about every color you can imagine, and five wood-veneer die cuts – a star, a smiley face, a plane, arrow, and hot air balloon. Lots of embellishment to add color, shine and sparkle to our cards!
I did get a few of the add-ons this month…
The Bold And Beautiful Variety peel off pack includes Brown Mirror Straight, Copper Mirror Straight, Rose Gold Mirror Pin-stripe, and Ruby Red mirror Pin-stripe sheets, and the Bold And Beautiful Pin Stripe peel off pack includes sheets of Blue, Ocean Blue, Black and Soft Peach Pin-stripe peel offs. Just about all the colors in the kit are covered here!
I’m thrilled to get the 2 x Stencil Pack add-on this month – formal circles and artistic circles…! The swirly stencil could easily become flower blooms I believe! More of that circle motif here!
Since we only got white card stock this month, Lizi put together the Bold And Beautiful Colored Card Stock Bundle for those of us looking for a little more color this month. I’m sure Lizi knows that I like to make my card bases from the colored card stock in our kits, so she included this with my shipment!
