Hello Folks! Scott here UnBoxing the Love From Lizi September 2021 “Bumbly Birthdays” Card Kit!
This September is Love From Lizi’s FIFTH Birthday, and Lizi usually celebrates it with a Super Card Kit jam-packed with all sorts of unique and exclusive products, but due to that damned Delta variant, supply chains have broken down in Great Britain and Lizi just couldn’t get all her supplies together for the Super Card Kit – but don’t worry, We’ll celebrate LFL’s birthday with the October Super Card Kit.
To tide us over, Lizi has assembled this Santoro (of London) Gorjuss Girl kit for us this month! These little girls are extremely popular and have been around for quite a while – even provoking some competition among crafters who collect every single stamp in this line! I’ve never had one in my stash, so it will be fun to see what the fuss is about!
As usual, we start with five sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock in Lemon Yellow, Ivory, Pink (just for me!) and two sheets of Lizi’s super-smooth alcohol marker-friendly White. I’ll usually save the White for alcohol coloring, and I do use these card stocks to make card bases. Sometimes the color of a card base will inspire a whole card!
Now we get to the GRAND assortment of pattern papers, die-cuts, decoupage, and ephemera sheets filling this kit. These are all A4 sized sheets – 8-1/4″ x 11-3/4″ – a little different than letter size.
Almost every sheet has some sort of Gold foiling highlighting the patterns. Birthdays here we come!
Gold foiled Gorjuss Girls!
Here’s some plain, subtle background card stock – no foiling on these!
Tone-on-tone “a gorjuss gift for you” and fruit candies.
More plain background card stock with large, full-color Gorjuss Girls already colored!
Two sheets of thick vellum with gold foil stars and beautiful colors…
And die-cut sheets galore!! Paper bows in assorted sizes and a decoupage sheet with two different girls…!
Die-cut panels, tags, labels, and lots of Gorjuss Girls with plenty of Gold foil.
More die-cuts with lots of sentiment banners, tags and labels with six gorjuss ephemera girls!
Die-cut tags and flags and strips for every orientation and lots of foil on those full page strips!
Two sheets of Alpha stickers… not too large… (no foil)
And one final sheet of pattern paper with nice-sized Gorjuss Girls scattered about. Goodness! That’s 23 pages of pattern paper, die cuts, vellum, Alpha stickers, bows and decoupage. An embarrassment of riches!!
Our peel offs this month are Gold Mirror Mini Hearts – perfect match for all the gold foiling. And our stamp set is this “Bee-Loved” cling (red rubber) stamp set. I do love the full-color images of the stamps on their backs. These will cling to an acrylic block or any stamping platform you may have. Red rubber always gives me terrific results when I stamp!
Our embellishments this month include two sheets of small, thin foam squares in White AND Black, The Bumbly Birthdays sequin mix with assorted sizes of Gold, Black, Silver and White sequins, eight embossed paper flowers with gem centers, a large pack of tiny self-adhesive gems – I love embellishing a card with tiny gems! We also get 10 brads in assorted colors (for assembling those paper bows?) and our dies this month are this set of four nesting Doily dies – kind of a compliment to the nesting Scallop dies in last month’s kit.
Thats everything in the LFL September 2021 Card Kit – Of course, I did get the add-on peel off bundles…
The pin stripe bundle has Gold Mirror, Mauve Mirror, Ocean Blue, and Clear/Gold, and the Variety peel off bundle has Apricot/Gold Sway peel offs, Mauve Moondust Straight, Mint Moondust pin stripe, and Clear Iridescent Mini Hearts. Gotta love those peel offs!
That wraps it up for this month, I’m looking forward to digging in and coloring one of those Gorjuss Girls stamps!
