Hello Folks! Scott here unboxing the NEW Love From Lizi October 2020 Card Kit! This month we’re headed to the kitchen where Happiness is Homemade and love comes freshly wrapped up and warm from the oven!
Our supplies are shipped in a large 12″ x 12″ box this month and are sealed in zip-lock bags. All sorts of terrific colors and kitchen oriented designs are featured this month.
To begin with, we get our standard five sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stocks. I most always use these for my card bases. We have a sheet of Red, Sunshine Yellow, Pale Blue, Soft Pink and Gray. My Mom’s kitchen was always a bright yellow!
When we get a 12″ x 12″ box it usually means we have some cut-apart sheets coming our way, and this month is no different! We start with this 12″ x 12″ sheet of stickers! These are really thick card stock stickers featuring all sorts of foods and kitchen implements along with file tabs and a long floral border.
For our actual cut-apart sheets, we get one sheet of 2″ x 2″ cut-aparts – 36 assorted icons and sentiments from a simple recipe box to a canister set, mixer, cake, a place setting and a few (apparently alive!) animals.
These printed cut apart sheets are double-sided as well. This is the back of the 2×2 sheet. A nice greenish-teal with a pattern of flowers and laurels. Lovely!
Our second cut-apart sheet is all tags! 4″ tall and a little more than 2 and quarter inches wide. Perfect tags for gifting all sorts of homemade treats! And…
The back of that sheet continues the tag theme so the front and back of your tags match!
Our last sheet of cut-aparts feature 4″ x 6″ recipe cards! Ingredients, prep time, cook time, servings, etc. are all noted on these recipe cards and on the back…
we have matching backs with room for the recipe instructions. If Lizi isn’t encouraging us to bake, she’s certainly encouraging us to share some of our favorite recipes!
That brings us to our pattern paper pack! This month we get 12 sheets of 6″ x 8″ pattern papers with these large designs on one side (perfect for scrapbooking) and
smaller patterns on their back sides. I might have to abscond with that Kitchen Conversion Chart for my own use!! Love the flowers on the black background and the black and beige animal pattern is terrific as well!
Three more full size designs (though those shelves could be trimmed down fairly easily) the center quote is from Julia Child, and six more recipe cards!

We are treated to a new peel off color this month! Strawberry Glitter pin stripe peel offs are slightly translucent and plenty sparkly! Our Happiness is Homemade Stamp set is a 4″ x 6″ set featuring a dozen sentiments alone and on various shapes. From top left to bottom right we get: “Lets Eat!”, “Perk up Darling”, “Cooking is love made visible”, “Don’t get so steamed up” on the tea pot, “Just roll with it” with a rolling pin, “Don’t flip out” with a spatula, “Spread some love”, “Whistle while you work” on another tea kettle, “Hello hot stuff” on an oven mitt, “happiness is homemade”, “Bake the world a better place”, and “always be grateful” on a box grater. Rather pun-y!
And then we have our Embellishments Bag! Here is where all the recipe cards in this kit begin to make sense! We get 4 sheets of 4″ x 6″ chipboard and 10 sheets of 4″ x 6″ Super Smooth alcohol friendly card stock. Just the supplies need to pair with all your 4″ x 6″ recipe cards to make your own little recipe book! Maybe a set of your favorite recipes to give as a gift, or possibly the beginning of your own recipe collection! Lots of fun!
We get 5 one-meter lengths of thin satin ribbon in Yellow, Charcoal, Teal, Red and Off-White, and a sample pack of the Happiness is Homemade sequin mix featuring red, green, pink, gold, and brown sequins in assorted sizes. Our wooden embellishments include 5 mini clothes pins and two wood-veneer tags (cutting board perhaps?) and our dies this month include a cute little teapot with hearts and three nesting hearts with a perfectly adorable tiny little heart in the center. But that’s not it!
We also get a great bunch of ephemera pieces! A large old-fashioned stove, lots of sentiments, all sorts of kitchen equipment, a few flowers and some assorted foodstuffs! I know everyone loves Lizi’s ephemera pieces, and I always enjoy trying to come up with unique and fun ways to use them!
I did get the Happiness is Homemade Pin Stripe Peel Off Pack with Fuchsia, Silver Moondust, Denim Blue, and Pink peel offs, and the Happiness is Homemade Variety Peel Off Pack featuring Apricot with Gold lining Sway peel offs, a sheet of pin stripe Teal peel offs, a Gold Straight sheet, and Black Glitter Mini Circles. A fun variety of peel offs!
