Unboxing! Love From Lizi July 2020 “Love You Always” Card Kit

Hello Folks! Scott here unboxing the new Love From Lizi July 2020 Card Kit! Just in time for a nice mid-summer break in your craft room with lots of florals, vintage prints and some beautifully detailed stamps.

This kit comes in a large 12″ x 12″ boy which usually means we get some 12″ x 12″ cut-apart sheets – but let’s start with our card stocks first.

As usual, we get five sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock. This month we have a sheet of super-smooth alcohol marker-friendly White, Dark Grey, Warm Pink, Blush Pink, and Jet Black card stocks. That Warm Pink was featured in the June kit as well! sigh…

That brings us right to our three 12″ x 12″ card stock sheets – this is really nice, thick card stock – must be at least 100# if not more! This first sheet features lots of foliage and flowers and four vintage mailboxes. Kind of an ephemera sheet, except you’ll have to cut out all the images yourself. These are double sided as well…!

The back of out first sheet is a soft distressed beige with an almost imperceptible post mark on the top right corner. If you’re not in the mood to fussy-cut, then this makes for some perfectly subtle backgrounds!

Our second sheet combines the foliage with the mailboxes for these colorful garlands large enough to stand by themselves (maybe with a sentiment) on the front of a card.

On the back of the garland cut-apart sheet is this soft green bead-board paneling perfect as a background for any floral image!

Our last sheet is an actual cut-apart sheet with a couple of 4″ x 6″ full card panels – the bottom right one is perfect for an envelope – three 4″ x 4″ panels, and four 3″ x 4″ panels with more of the florals, mailboxes and even a sentiment thrown in for good measure.

The back-side of our third sheet is this photo-realistic wall of bricks. Looks terrifically real in this picture! I like the irregular size of these bricks… casual, but sturdy!

We do get twelve sheets of 6″ x 6″ patter paper in our kit this month. These are double-sided pattern papers – with the top row of florals (and a mini cut-apart sheet) contrasted with the second row of more subtle patterns on their backs. Obviously some of the same patterns and layouts from the 12×12 sheets.

Our peel offs this month are a new color in the Straight line – Mint Glitter – these are slightly transparent, so they should pick up whatever color they are applied to. We also get a sheet of stickers featuring a number of sentiments, smaller floral arrangements, and even some short banner flags cut from the garland of foliage across the center.

Our 4″ x 6″ “Love You Always” stamp set features two detailed flower arrangements. The top left arrangement appears to be in an old milk can and the bottom arrangement is in a round, clear glass vase. Those are complimented with a couple small florals, a three-bloom branch and a sprig of greenery. The sentiments are ” Thinking of you”, “Love you always”, “Thank you”, and “Here for you”. Perfect sentiments for these crazy times. I’m looking forward to coloring these stamps!

And that brings us to our Embellishment Bag! We get a new bottle of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew. Though this looks white in the bottle, these crystal drops dry clear! We get two dies this month: a very detailed profile of a butterfly, and a cute little windmill (did I see some tulips somewhere?).

We also get three wooden heart-shaped buttons, 5 mini-clothespins, 5 black satin bows, five wood-veneer die cuts and the sampler pack of “Love You Always” sequins with gold, pink, black and oyster sequins in various sizes. We also get a 1 meter length of five 1/8″ satin ribbons in Green, Peach, Black (same as the bows) White and Pale Blue. Enough goodies to keep any crafter occupied for a while!

That covers all the contents of the kit, but there’s a lot of add-ons and releases this month!

We have two featured peel off bundles for our kit this month! The Pin Stripe Bundle with Mint, Ice, Pink and White (perfect colors of this kit!) and the Variety Bundle with Black Straight, Fuchsia Sway, Apple Green Mirror Straight, and a NEW peel off shape: Mini Hearts in Gold Mirror. (More to come on that new shape!)

There are three different Sticker Pack add-ons for this kit… I got the “Circles and Sentiments” sticker add-on and the NEW add-on stamp set: “Just Because”. This 4″ x 6″ stamp set has two more floral arrangements and four sentiments: “While we are far apart, you are always in my heart”, “Just Because”, “Greetings”, and “Hello”. Again, these florals are just begging for some color and the sentiments are certainly useful.

One of the big new releases this month is these new shapes in the LFL Peel off line!

Three new shapes: Mini Hearts, Mini Circles, and Mini Stars! All of them feature three different sizes and are currently available in Silver, Gold, Black, White, Silver Mirror, Gold Mirror, Silver Glitter, Gold Glitter, Black Glitter, Clear Iridescent Glitter, and Clear Iridescent Pink Glitter. I think these are going to be very popular, and I, personally, can’t wait till Lizi comes out with more colors!
