Unboxing! Love From Lizi August 2019 Card Kit

Hello Folks! Scott here un-boxing my Love From Lizi August 2019 Card Kit. Lizi is calling this the “Flawless” Card Kit and it features an assortment of gem images and icons and  some unique layered sentiment stamps. Oh, yes… and it’s VERY pink!

As usual, we get bunches of card stock, pattern papers, dies and embellishments!

Our five sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stocks come in Ivory, White (alcohol marker-friendly) Pink, Vanilla, and Dark Grey. We also get four half-sheets of specialty card stock in White, Dark Grey, Bronze and Pink pearlescent. That’s 14 card bases right there if you wish!

We get 12 sheets of 6″ x 6″ pattern paper this month. The top two on the left have gold and rose-gold foil accents and the middle two in the top row feature glitter accents. A few pieces feature text in the patterns, and most (but not ALL!) have some pink in them!

Our peel off stickers this month are white with gold lining. I love these dual-colored peel offs – it’a almost like every peel off is three peel offs in one! Big bang for your buck there! We are also treated to an over-sized stamp set this month with six gem images (those should be fun to color!) and five two-layer sentiments: PERFECT, A GEM, YOU”RE PRICELESS, ONE IN A MILLION, and SHINE BRIGHT. It will be interesting to see what effect the layering stamps add to these sentiments…!

And that brings us to our embellishment bag! WHEEEEEEEE!! We get two white tags with twine ties, and a “polaroid” picture frame featuring rose-gold foiling on pink – a very thick chip board frame! We do get a new bottle of Nuvo Crystal Drops this month in a “Silver Lining” metallic finish. We also get four dies this month with a “Smile” sentiment, a faceted heart gem, three hearts in a rectangle, and a large hexagon die with the words “be happy be bright be you”. That ‘sentiment’ is actually repeated on one of our pattern papers! Back to sequins this month – we get our sample pack of the Flawless sequin mix featuring rose-gold, brushed gold, white and brushed silver sequins in a variety of sizes.

We are treated to a new LFL embossing powder this month – Platinum Tiara – platinum is the perfect name for this unique, shiny silver embossing powder. We also get six rose-gold metallic buttons and four pink glitter pre-tied bows, as well as two rolls of washi tape featuring a rose-gold foil on one and a geometric pattern on the other. There’s also a sample of the Tonic Copper gilding flakes (always fun!) and a Nuvo Smooth Precision glue pen (should work well with the gilding flakes). I’ve never used any of the Nuvo glues so I’m looking forward to giving this one a try! To go along with the embossing powder, Lizi has also included a Nuvo Clear Mark pen – similar to a VersaMark pen and perfect for embossing! Finally we get three die cut hearts with gold foil accents and a faceted heart paper clip – gold foil faceting on the heart and a copper colored clip! I did get a couple of the add on items for this kit including the August peel off bundle with Apricot Pin Stripes (new color), Gold Glitter Sway, Apple Green Bubble, and Brown Mirror Pin Stripes. I also got the Flawless Sentiments stamp set that features more of those layered sentiments with a BIRTHDAY, HAPPY, WITH, LOVE, ANNIVERSARY, and CONGRATULATIONS. Good, everyday sentiments in that interesting double-layer design.
