Hello Folks! Scott here unboxing the new Love From Lizi June 2019 Card Kit. This kit has sold out already, but I do believe there are a few add-ons still available…! That was Fast!
This kit is kind of a tribute to teal, mint, peach and gold – everything coordinates beautifully, and all of the sentiments are very uplifting and positive and would work well for sympathy cards too. I know I am not particularly interested in making a sympathy card when I need one, so maybe it makes sense to make a few sympathy cards so I have some in my stash..!
Let’s start with our card stock. As usual, we get five sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock in Teal, Ivory, White (super-smooth, copic-friendly), Black and Mint. Those are complimented with three half-sheets (8.5″ x 5.5″) of specialty card stock in White, Black and Blush pearlescent colors, and a large piece of peach tulle netting to play with as well. We have gotten tulle in our kits before and there are all sorts of ways you can use this fabric.
We get two more 12″ x 12″ cut apart sheets this month. Both double-sided, and one featuring 2″ x 2″ blocks on one side, and the other with 3″ x 4″ panels on one side. Of course there’s lovely pattern papers on the reverse of both these sheets, and some of the cut-apart panels sport some gold foiling as well!
There is also a 12″ x 12″ sheet of nice thick card stock stickers coordinating perfectly with the colors and themes of this kit. Some large words and sentiments paired with smaller shapes and icons, and a bunch of little word and sentiment strips that come in so handy when you have just a little bit more to say!
That brings us to our pattern papers. This month we are treated to twelve 6″ x 8″ double-sided pattern papers. These feature some really large designs perfect for scrap booking or home decor, along with lots of patterns using florals, stripes, and polka-dots. Two of the pattern papers have more 3″ x 4″ cut apart panels perfectly geared to making sympathy cards. I always appreciate the larger sized pattern papers that we get from Lizi on occasion – I never feel like I have to ration every little scrap..!
And here is our “Hello Love” stamp set for this month featuring eight loving sentiments in a variety of fonts and sizes. And our peel offs this month are totally unique! Not only are they the new SWAY peel offs in a soft peach, but each peel off is outlined in metallic gold – all three sizes! The shape of these peel offs really highlight that gold outline!
And now we get to our embellishment bag! A full-sized bottle of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Caramel Creme, five one-meter lengths of 1/8″ satin ribbons in Dark Teal, Peach, Charcoal, Navy Blue, and White. Remember, you can change the color of the white ribbon with any alcohol marker in your stash. We get five paper doilies in a nice peach color, and our sample pack of the “Hello Love” sequin mix that matches the color palette of this kit with teal, green, navy, ivory and peach sequins in a variety of sizes and styles. We also get four wood veneer die cut wreaths in different designs – very pretty and delicate, and (here’s something truly unique) a length of gold chain! It will be very interesting trying to incorporate this chain on a card! Very compelling!
Then we get a little bag of golden embellishments that include a strip of small gold crystals, five gold bows, and ten gold glitter flowers in assorted sizes! Love those glitter flowers!
Lastly, we get eight (count ’em, 8!) dies this month! Three large Swan dies – One complete swan with a heart in the middle, a swan with the rear end adorned with flowers, and a flowery wreath with a swan head in the center. The swans are accompanied by a cattail die, a water lily die and three small flower dies of different types. Used individually, or all together, this is a great big batch of dies this month!
I did get some add on products this month as well! I got the Love From Lizi “Heaven Held” add on stamp set. This set features six sympathy sentiments – looks like I should do a batch of sympathy cards this month! I also got the special peel off bundle add on which includes a NEW color… Lemon Glitter pin stripe! This bundle also includes the Mint Glitter pin stripe and the Gold Moondust pin stripe and a Teal mirror SWAY peel off sheet. Love that Lemon Glitter!
I also got the add-on sticker pack – eight sheets of matching stickers and a whole sheet of little sentiment strips perfect for completing most any sentiment. There are a number of sympathy sentiments in this sticker pack as well.
Finally I got the add-on ephemera pack – SO MANY pieces in this pack! Everything matches this kit, and there are more foiled accents, lots of labels and tags, hearts and stars, and a little bit of just about everything you can think of!
