Unboxing! Love From Lizi | July 2019 Card Kit

Hello Folks! Scott here with the un-boxing of the Love From Lizi July 2019 Card Kit. Sorry this is a bit late, but for some reason, DHL had a hard time finding me this month!

This July we are treated to another LFL manufactured card kit featuring the eyelash girls introduced to us in the ‘Happy Haunting’ kit last September! All the stamps, dies, papers, and embellishments are exclusive and have been created and manufactured by Love From Lizi just for this card kit! Again… a veritable cornucopia of quality products!

We even get a little extra card stock this month! We get seven sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ card stock in Pink, Raspberry Pink, Mint, Cream, Sunshine Yellow, and two copic-friendly white cards. Our Specialty card stock consists of an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of striped acetate that actually sports thin silver stripes on one side and thin gold stripes on the other. Very unusual! And we get an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of vellum printed with some bright green lime slices. Our Love From Lizi “Summer Fruits” Pattern Paper pack has 20 sheets of 6″ x 6″ pattern papers in a wild riot of fruity patterns and colors. Lots of pineapples, citrus, watermelon, tropical flowers, frozen treats, polka-dots, chevrons and stripes. Five of these pages are embellished with a shimmer as well! Fun pattern papers!

And here’s our stamp set with three of those eyelash girls in various poses with four summery sentiments and a few props to play with as well. The girl with her back to us is wearing what must be the world’s smallest bikini!! And I love that cocktail!

We do get matching dies to go along with our stamp set and a bonus word die “aloha!” that also has a shadow die in addition to the word die! Lizi is introducing a new color to her peel off sticker line this month – we get a sheet of Mauve Moondust pin stripe peel-offs. That’s a pink that I can almost love!! We also get a sheet of clear epoxy stickers that feature more summer sentiments and come in an assortment of different sizes! They have a nice rounded dimension to them and are perfectly clear! Very cool!

The dies and epoxy stickers are actually in the embellishment bag which also includes a sheet of foam squares (generally means there are ephemera pieces to come!), and a collection of coordinating enamel dots. Lizi mentioned that she’s running out of new Nuvo Drops colors so she created these colorful dots for this kit! And here’s the “I’ve never seen that in a card kit before” embellishment – faux leather tassels! Two shades of green, yellow and red. Lizi thought they might make good hula skirts for the girls…! Another treat this month is a bundle of three washi tapes! A gold glitter, pink (mauve?) mirror, and a patterned washi tape that matches everything in the kit perfectly! Of course we get a sample of the Summer Fruit Sequin Mix – this is actually the Rainbow Wishes Sequin Mix with a sprinkling of mini fruit pieces throughout. Very tiny!

Did someone say Ephemera!?? 60 pieces on our Summer Fruits ephemera pack with that large camper and 9 different girls! Lots of fruit, flowers, bows and baubles round out this ephemera pack – so much goodness here… maybe I’ll make all my cards from these!

I did get the two add on stamp sets this month. “Summer Loving” on the left with that great camper and a surfboard girl, and “Summer Girl” on the right with the curly hair girl and bunches of props for her to hold. Seven more sentiments between these two sets provide almost unlimited option for summer cards! As part of the July Release, Lizi has come out with new embossing powders in Peony Purple, Cherry Red, Neon Lime, Neon Lemon and Neon Grapefruit (PINK grapefruit!). Really bright colors! Looks like they might even glow under black-light!

I also got the Summer Fruits peel off selection pack (already sold out!) with Denim Blue pin stripes, Pink bubble, Holographic Silver pin stripes, and Mint sway peel offs. Bubble peel offs? YES! As part of the July Release Lizi has come out with another peel off shape for us – Bubbles! Chains of outlined circles all connected together. We have Black, Sky Blue, Pink, White, Gold, Silver, Gold Mirror, Mint, Silver Mirror, Green Mirror, Red Mirror, Lilac Mirror and Teal Mirror!  WOW!  You can bet I’ll be using some of these with my cards this month! Very groovy!
